I was very saddened to hear of Tony's passing. A great musical friend for over 40 years. I will carry the memories of those sessions,adventures, gigs and travels for ever. 'Big Tony' (as he was known before the 'Timber Tony' name) will be greatly missed by his many friends here, but his recording is a fine legacy from a true troubadour musician. RIP a chara.

I also had the privilege in the last few days of reading some of Tony's fantastic poetry, a lot of which was dedicated to " Piper " his dearly loved dog and friend. I've known Tony for 30 odd years, when my kids were young they used to call him Tony timber. Rest in peace now Tony and play some tunes wherever you are 🙏

I remember Tony playing in The Central at SSWC way way back.

I last met him at the Sunday morning session in The Stores, Wexford Town about 6 or 7 years ago. I stood him a Pint of Stout.

Unrepentant, Unreconstructed and chose not to be bound by the chains of Convention that most of us wear in some form or other.

Tony's soul will find a good home. I hope Piper finds one too.
