I was very saddened to hear of Tony's passing. A great musical friend for over 40 years. I will carry the memories of those sessions, adventures, gigs and travels for ever. 'Big Tony' (as he was known before the 'Timber Tony' name) will be greatly missed by his many friends here, but his recording is a fine legacy from a true troubadour musician. RIP a chara.

Sincere sympathy to Mary and all the O Leary family on the sad passing of Tony. We were friends for over forty years and stayed together in a flat in tThe Bullring, Wexford town. Tony was a unique character with a great love of all things Irish and especially his gift for Irish music. His knowledge of music and his total emersion in his subject aligned him with the old Bardic tradition that has now sadly been consigned to the past —mores the pity

I remember Tony playing in The Central at SSWC way way back.

I last met him at the Sunday morning session in The Stores, Wexford Town about 6 or 7 years ago. I stood him a Pint of Stout.

Unrepentant, Unreconstructed and chose not to be bound by the chains of Convention that most of us wear in some form or other.

Tony's soul will find a good home. I hope Piper finds one too.

Rest In Peace.

Larry Dunne.
