Anthony Walsh

The passing of Anthony came as a great shock to all of us who were privileged to know him. Our friendship began in the eighties as work colleagues and endured into retirement,when it became a series of meet-ups and day trips with Noel as main entertainer. We seemed to have become a pacifist version of the “ Three Musketeers”. The frequent phone conversations where we analysed GAA games is another source of great memories.
We extend condolences to Maureen, Jason, Rebecca and Chloe. Also to their partners Suzie and Lawrence and much loved grandchildren, Eanna, Ellie, Sadbh, Iarla, Donnacha and Alannah, brother Michael and extended family and neighbours.

My deepest sympathy to all of you on your loss. Anthony was a fine man, held in such high esteem by all of us who came back to Cashleen each summer in our youths. I'll never forget his kindness and easy nature.

A kind gentleman whom I met many times over the years as he went up the Diamond maintaining a water supply for Letterfrack in a less sophisticated era.
The other evening our granddaughter Kate who pals with his granddaughter Allanah,reminded us of the day he insisted she take from him not one but three chocolate bars, an indication of the kindness of the man.
