My deepest condolences to Arthur's family. He was an absolute gentleman and always had time for a chat. He will be sadly missed by all his friends in St. Mary's RFC.
— Robert Lyons
When I first arrived in Ireland and St Mary's so many years ago, Arthur was one of my first contacts. Sometimes the word "gentleman" is over used, but in Arthur's case that is exactly what he was, a true gent.

He always greeted you with a big smile and warm and loving nature. I so enjoyed Arthur's company over the years, and i will miss seeing him at the club. My prayers to his loving family and friends. RIP Arthur
