Whilst I didn't know Barry personally I was very saddened to hear of his untimely passing. I only knew him as an Aldi customer. Absolute gentleman. Always ready to help and of course always the kind word. I remember one conversation with him during these covid times. He passed the comment that we should all continue to keep smiling no matter what. In reply I said "who is going to see us smiling with these masks on" to which he replied "when you smile it shows in your eyes". How true. Beautiful observation. Deepest sympathy to his wife Mary and his children and extended family. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
