Deepest condolences on your loss. Basil was a larger than life figure at the Stephen's Green Club, and will be sadly missed.
— Brian Haughey
Getting to know Basil when I joined The Stephen's Green Club in the early 90's, during his first term as Chairman, was a joy. His enthusiasm for the Club, his friendship, his love of life and family....all impressed me greatly. I was saddened to learn of his passing yesterday evening. To all of the Brindley family, on behalf of myself and my wife Margaret, please accept our deepest sympathies.
— David A. Fanagan
