I write, with fondest memories of my last time to see Auntie Bernie, while home from Canada.
A visit to the Europa initially for sandwiches and afternoon tea !! and a short time later, it was decided best to let the two ladies (Bernie and Betty Carolan, my mother) catch up on lots of news, while the Belfast, Dublin and Canadian 'younger' Carolans retired to a small snug across the street for an hour of further news and story sharing and a glass of an bainne dúbh !

To Geraldine, Angela, Peter, Kieron and Michael, you know only too well, your Mother has full peace now, and despite the sorrow and hurt, death brings happiness and joy, she is already in heaven, and rejoined with Oscar and likely chatting again with Betty !
