I was fortunate enough to have been part of a really creative Irish language film spearheaded by Ms Roche which ultimately led to a fun trip to a students film festival in Treviso in 2000. I was lucky enough to be a student of Bernie’s about a decade ago (Ms Roche, as she was to me), she had a great sense of humour and a zest for life and learning that was contagious. I fondly remember dancing with her on a school trip to a Gaeltacht, and even diving off a pier with her, she had a young and lively spirit. What a loss. I’ll never forget her. May she rest in peace.
