Husband , sons , and extended family in Both IRELAND & ITALY , I have been going into the Roma for over 30 years and this lovely little lady was always so nice pleasant & friendly every time you ordered , a very straightforward and hardworking lady. She was the heart of the Roma restaurant. And will be sorely missed by all her customers. , hard to believe we will never see her behind the counter again. Rest In Peace little lady

My first job was in the Roma restaurant I was 13 years old got to know Bernie more and more as time went by a genuine lady a hard worker was their from morning to night 7 days a week she became a second mother to me I will always remember the great memories I have of her my condolence to her husband Joe ,Genzo ,Angelo,Lorraine and Valentina entire family here and Italy you will be truly missed Bernie R.I.PX

I remember as a child going to the Roma with my parents and sister and playing songs on the jukebox, it was always a wonderful time. Mama Roma was always there, such a hard working lady. Now as a parent myself, my own children would get the famous Roma ice-cream. And again Mama Roma was still there working as hard. Dundalk has lost a legend. Thinking of the Grossi family at this time. Rip Mama Roma

I fondly remember mama roma as a child, 30 years later she sill looked the same .a true lady she be greatly missed .

To Angelo & Cenzo, saddened for the loss of your dear Mum & loving wife of Joe. From our earliest Friary days in the 1970’s when you lived behind the shop, your Mum was a constant presence behind the counter in the Roma. She was a much respected Park St. trader, citizen of Dundalk & proud daughter of Italy. May she Rest in Peace.

With a saddened heart I offer the Grossi family my deepest condolences. Everybody in Dundalk knew Bernardina and she knew them. She has seen relationships develop into marriages and grow into families. She then served their children as they grew and even their grandchildren too! What a hard working and loyal businesswoman and mother. She earned the name “Mammy Roma”. She loved Dundalk and the people of Dundalk loved and will miss Bernie. Heaven is waiting with it’s gates open for this beautiful lady xx
