To Edel and Family may Bernice rest in peace.. and condolences to all the family. I remember hearing many stories from Edel after she had baby Aoife in hospital. She spoke alot about her amazing sister and what a true warrior she really was.

I met Bernice years ago at an in-service training for Geography teachers, we shared Geography stories and resources. As it happened my sister went on to work in Rosemount with her. I am beyond shocked to hear of her untimely passing. I am working in Italy now and my sister and I spoke about her fondly last week not knowing she had sadly passed away. I know it is no news to you that she was professional, kind, a great educator and a good laugh. May she rest in peace. My sincere condolences go out to all her family, friends and colleagues. Ni bheidh a leitheid ann aris.

My deepest sympathy to Eric, Ella, Ava, Conor and Bernice’s family at this tragic time. Bernice had a wonderful ability to bring people together, as she did with our group in the TCD M.Ed. class of 2011. We named her ‘class president’ and our success was due to this group dynamic. As Principal in the VEC/ETB her supportive and caring manner was always infused with a sense of fun and wonder, creating optimism, enthusiasm and success. Bernice spoke of her family in every conversation, her greatest love and source of happiness . She will be sorely missed, but always remembered with a smile.

I spent 13 years together in the same year of school as Bernice & she always carried herself beautifully, was very inclusive of others and was a perfect role model for her peers.
