Deepest sympathy to Bertie and family on the death of Bernie. She was a lovely lady, my lasting memory of her was heading off early in the morning to buy her paper, just as the rest of us were getting up! She will be missed on Beech Lawn

Dundrum Athletic Club; visits to Tara Street Fire Station; trips to Brittas Bay; countless lunches and dinners; and of course, the chocolate cake. Bernie Hennigan had a profound and lasting influence on my life. Despite being a passionate Dublin supporter, she happily welcomed this son of a blow-in Kerryman into her home and heart.
She was a wonderful woman, blessed with boundless enthusiasm, humour, and warm generosity. I will miss her greatly, but for as long as I can run (and eat chocolate cake), I will remember her always.

Our sincere condolences to you Bertie and to all your precious family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. We have many fond memories of Bernie. Her energy and enthusiasm will live on.
