To Cathy, Helen and Gabrielle, sincere condolences on the passing of Bertie, a great character, raconteur and dear friend to many.
So glad we had the pleasure of his company in July 2019 when a group of us from the former Foras Forbartha travelled to Nenagh to have lunch with him in the Abbey Hotel. What a memorable day. Bertie was in great spirits and kept us all entertained with his amusing anecdotes and banter. A wonderful time was had by all.

So dear Bertie may the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back.
Rest in peace dear friend.
