Condolences to Lynn and Phillip. My late parents, Aline and Roy thought the world of Betty. We all did. She was always kind and caring, so hardworking with a great sense of fun and adventure. And those pies and cakes! She brightened up a room with her wonderful smile and wicked chuckle.

From my earliest childhood memories of Auntie Betty to my most recent, what comes to mind is kindness, a ready smile, a sense of fun, a warm heart and a deep faith.
Betty recognised her blessings, and blessed the lives of those she knew.

At this difficult time it’s hard to find the right words to say when a family are grieving ?
However words alone cannot express what a wonderful caring and loving lady Betty was.
On a personal level she was my step mum and cared for my dad Ken when he was struggling with his health so thank you Betty. She was also Grandma to my Daughter Ruth who she loved so much. Life is about making memories and Betty created so many for us to remember. She was a determined adventurous lady and always surprised us with what she was doing next. Her decision to move to be closer to her family in Ireland came as no surprise to me because family was everything to Betty and that included the Meredith’s. I sadly lost my mother Margaret at the tender age of 48. So how lucky was I when my dad met and married Betty! I have gone through life with the love of two wonderful mothers. All those whose life’s you touch will really miss you Betty. I’m not just talking about your cakes and buffets which you shared which were always amazing!
Mainly because you left a legacy of love behind you which we all felt. You will be missed for sure !!!
Love Colin & Jackie Meredith xxx

David and I send our deepest sympathy to all the family on the death of Betty. She was such an inspiration - so caring, generous, hard-working, always thinking of new and creative ideas... the list is endless. She did so much for the Church at Beulah in so many different roles and especially as Secretary. She did a massive amount of fund raising and her buffets were legendary. She cared so much for those around her and those far away- she was tireless in her efforts to support the Missionary Society. I have great memories of helping in the bakery when she had a buffet on!
My Mum and Dad aren't well enough to write themselves but they particularly wanted me to include them in this message- Dad loved her to bits and she was a great support to him
We send much love, especially to Phil and Lynn. xx
— Alison Cheetham
