Billy O'Dwyer

Well after hearing of the passing of Billy I want to offer my sincere condolences to Ann and the family. My late father Addie spoke so highly of Billy and the family. Sharing work rest and great chats.
Leaving Donegal as a young man he often remarked on Billy and Ann’s as a home away from home. Fondly remembered.

Growing up as a young chap in Sligo, I loved Kilkenny in the late fifties and sixties, where Billy stood out for me as a great forward. I still think of him as it was only yesterday.

I had the pleasure of playing with Billy for Faughs in the early 70s in a very successful era for the Club,he played a huge part in our revival and scored many a vital goal for us when we really needed it.
He hurled for Faughs for fifteen
years won two Championships
and several League medals to add to his collection with Kilkenny which included two All Ireland medals.
We thank you Billy for the part you played in making Faughs the big Club it is today and especially the way you played the game you loved.
