Sincere sympathies to the Drennan family on your loss. Bishop Martin kindly agreed to be our school Patron back in 2010, ensuring that a much-needed new school opened in what was a rapidly developing area at the time. He recognised the efforts of the Good Shepherd Parish and parishioners and supported the development of the Cumasú Centre, to give a permanent home to the ARD Family Resource Centre and the Good Shepherd Church. His kindness, compassion, foresight and sense of service has left a lasting legacy in our Doughiska community through the provision of education and pastoral care to local families - thank you Bishop Martin. May he rest in peace.

With a heart full of gratitude for the many memorable and inspiring retreats. given by Bishop Martin. which were life-changing for me in so many ways, I offer my very sincere sympathy to Fr Michael, his siblings his fellow bishops and priests . Fr Michael said it all. I am grateful too to have been using his reflections on the Sunday liturgy. May his "wounds be turned into wisdom" and may each one be comforted at this time. It’s was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Bishop Martin Drennan our former professor of scripture at St Kieran’s College, Kilkenny. He was always a man of deep spiritual faith and reflection and so easy to follow and understand. I also had the great pleasure in meeting him in Lourdes in July 2018 as part of the Derry Diocese as the Galway pilgrimage shared the same hotel. I will treasure the photograph I got taken with him at that time.
Sincerel sympathies to the Drennan family, priests and people of the Galway Diocese.
God bless and enjoy your eternal reward 🙏

Sincere sympathy to the Drennan family on the death of Bishop Martin R.I.P. I have very happy memories of our friendship which began when we were both students in St Kieran's. Our paths crossed again when he was Auxiliary Bishop in Dublin. Since then we have had many chats. Martin was a humble, sincere and compassionate man. He carried out his duties as priest professor and Bishop in an exemplary manner. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
