My deepest and sincere condolences to the Family. I knew him personally when I spent 9 years in St Joseph College in Mauritius. He was in fact a very nice and humble human being.

I have know Bro Alphonsus when he joined Saint Joseph’s College in 1983.
I was 14 years and Bro Alphonsus last year was in 1986.He was a nice person and talking to students in the corridor .Thank you Bro Alphonse what you did for us.

I have known Brother Alphonsus since 1963 when he taught French and History to my class of HSC students at St Joseph College in Mauritius. I have lived in Australia the last 50 years and since the year 2010, I called and chatted with Brother Alphonsus every Christmas until his departure from Dublin to Miguel House. I fully agree with the person who made the eulogy: Brother lphonsus was a witty, no nonsense person with a generous and kind heart. Vale, Brother Alphonsus, may flight of Angels sing thee to thy rest in the arms your Good and Merciful Lord!

Br.Alph, despite his physical needs, made an impact- original & unique in its forms-since his arrival to Castletown. Outspoken & critical , independant & witty, his was the room to visit on a work day when one needed a little deviation -guaranteed to feel light hearted after a colourful conversation with Alph.
To accept without any complaint, his near blindness for years, was testament to his spirituality & his deep faith - the small needs eg.A Hot Coffee-meant so much to him.
May he have eternal rest.
