Was so privileged to be taught at CBC Kimberley in the early 1980s by Br Loftus. He was a great promoter of Catholic Social Justice and how we should learn from the harsh realities of his beloved Northern Ireland homeland. A great maths and history teacher. Had to takeover from another teacher and did a years high school maths syllabus in less than 3 terms very successfully. Br Loftus was also a very accomplished Cricket and Rugby Coach. Also been a great privilege to have kept in touch with him in recent years. Deepest sympathies to his family, Christian Brothers, friends and acquaintances. "He was a man. Take him. For all in all, I shall not look upon his like again" - Shakespeare. Rest in Peace Br Loftus for a life well lived and helping so many during that lifetime.
