I knew Br Burke way back in the sixties. I am sad to hear of his passing. He and I taught together in Callan in the mid-sixties(Secondary Level). A sincere and charming person and a person of great integrity. Prayers and sympathy to his family, the brothers who were his colleagues as well as all my good friends in Callan who are mourning him.

I have so many fond memories of teaching with Br B in CBS Callan. He would come in in the morning singing a song, myself and Rita Killeen would join in...
He was a Math's Genius for me, he had all the answers to the difficult problems, but made me work out the questions I asked him. He had a massive influence on my teaching career from the moment I started teaching in Callan. RIP Br B.
