My sincere sympathies to Brother Mike’s family and friends during this hard time. He was an exceptional man and I feel honoured to have known him. I worked in the village shop in Castletown during my teenage years and I could always count on Brother Mike to make me smile anytime he was in and in the year of my Leaving Cert, he regularly came in on a Sunday to give me help for my Irish and French orals. I will never forget his kindness and sincerity to anyone who crossed his path. A truly wonderful man. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Very sorry to learn of Aubrey’s death. I have many happy memories of him in our younger days in Castletown before we went our separate ways. I actually called one of my sons Aubrey . May his gentle soul rest in peace.
