To Carol, David, Amy and Emma. So sad to hear of Brendas passing. Many a good weekend away - days and well into the night - was shared with Brenda and Tom, Nancy and Patsy and not forgetting Brian with the Knights of The Road and the Guinness golfing societies. A true lady who had time and a caring word for everyone. She will be sadly missed.
— Margaret and Liam Killeen
Brenda was a long-standing member of the Tribes Bridge Club which she joined in the early 1970s which was when I first got to know her. She remained a member until ill-health dictated that she could no longer attend. She formed a regular partnership with Nancy Mullins. Brenda was a very stalwart supporter of the club as reflected by her regular attendance. She was a very competitive and competent player. But more importantly she will be affectionately remembered as a warm-hearted human being who enjoyed the funny side of things. She was also remarkably resilient and tenacious, none more so than when she tripped one evening during a regular weekly session. She badly injured herself and was duly hopitalised for some time thereafter. But that didn't prevent her from attending the President's Dinner in May 2013 where she was presented with a special 'True Grit' award in recognition of her fortitude and tenacity in the face of adversity. She will be sorely missed by those members of the Tribes BC and the various other bridge clubs of which she was a member.

Sincere sympathies to Carol and David and the extended family.
— Paul J Scannell
