I met Brendan at his cousin / my great aunt (by birth) Evelyn Walshe's funeral in 2021. What a charismatic person - his wonderful way with people really stood out and was delighted to learn I was (distantly) related to him. His parking was very funny. May he rest in peace.

Brendan was always a great friend and neighbour in my youth. He will be missed a great deal by his parishioners, friends and political acquaintances.
