My daughter Laura who worked with him in Houlihan’s bar is so sad to hear of his death. She has wonderful memories of working with him at her first job at 17 yrs. he taught her a lot about life.

Please extend my condolences to the Lewis family. Jacko was very special to me and my husband. We had many a good night singing in Houlihans. He wasn't just my cousin, he was a special friend. Always greeted with that smile. My heart is breaking for the Lewis family. I am heartily sorry I can't be with them due to the lockdown but I will meet when this is over. It is with so much sadness that i find myself writing this condolence on behalf of myself and my wife. I met Jacko for the first time in 1979 and what a huge friend of mine he turned out to be. Bebo would have known him from childhood. Though only a few yrs older than me he was like a father and brother to me always looking out for me,i will never forget that smile and kindness he showed me, i played with him for kilmallock for a few yrs and i can still hear him saying Babs I'll meet you in Dermot's for a few jars later on,and we always met.Our hearts goes out to you Bernie and all your family at this devastating time for all the Lewis family. We are just so sorry that we can't be there to say our final good bye's to a man we both loved so dearly. Our sincerest condolences to you all and may our and your JACKO for ever rest in peace.
