Sincere condolences to Ann and the extended Mooney family on the recent passing of Brendan. I had the privilege of interacting with him for many years in his capacity as sports journalist in relation to athletics. Always the perfect gentleman, always the smile, always the pleasant conversation. His contribution to athletics in Ireland has been substantial and he was an outstanding example of how the job of reporting events should be done. May his gentle soul rest in peace!
