Sincere condolences to Brian's family & friends. We attended DKIT in the late 90s and had Brian as a lecturer. A great character and definitely not your "typical accountant", he always made the lectures fun and engaging.
— Barry & Sarah Roe
My sincere condolences on the sad passing of Brian to his wife Roz and family. He will be remembered for his bigger than life and jovial nature. I played with him in the 90's at Leinster Cricket Club.

May he R.I.P.

It is a grievous loss to learn of the loss of Brian! Such a jubilant and talented human being: forever in pursuit of the best for his spouse Rosalyn and his two girls Annabelle and Penelope: artists all three.

Requiescat!
— John O'Doherty
So sorry to learn of Brian's passing.. had him for accounts in the early 1980s ..and knew him briefly outside class.. he was one of the good guys.. helpful, pleasant, witty and epitomised what a good lecturer should be.. He no doubt will be an immense loss to his family and my thoughts and sympathy are with you all at this difficult time.
— Tommy Mc Guire Castleblayney
Both Dympna and I were shocked to learn of the recent death of Brian R.I.P. We had known each other for more than 30 years and although marriage and children intervened and our meetings became more infrequent, nonetheless our friendship endured throughout the years and meeting Brian was always an occasion for a laugh and a joke. It goes without saying that he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Very saddened to hear the loss of Brian. I was a student at DKIT between 2010-2014. He was my first lecturer in the college and knew instantly he was a unique and special individual. One time, on a slow day in the college, he based his entire lecture explaining the rules of cricket rather than accountancy. It was brilliant and will not be forgotten.

May he rest in peace.

My sincerest sympathy to Brian's family. I talk about Brian regularly reminiscing about my 3 years in Dkit and Brian's stories. He always made us laugh. He was so encouraging and devoted to his job. I was behind him one time on Hoey's Lane. Stuck in traffic. When he realised I was behind him, he got out of his car and came back to me to express how much he hated being stuck in traffic. When he went back to his car, he opened up his newspaper and spread it across the dash and read it until we eventually got moving. Fond memory. More memories like this one will always make me smile. Thank you for the experience, RIP Brian.
