To Seán and everyone in your family. I was so sad to hear of Bridget’s passing. Our sincere condolences to you all. I very much enjoyed working with her in our neighbourhood watch group, and she was a warm, welcoming, professional and eloquent chairperson. She is a big loss to the community as well as her cherished family, and she is gone much too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Hayley and Michael Conway and family, Faha, Dripsey.

My first, brief reaction is one of shock and sadness, but with warm memories of Bridget's lively presence in Sociology, in her roles as a student, as an energetic and innovative tutor and coordinator of tutorials, and later as a teacher. She made a significant and unique contribution, and I remember her as a valued colleague. RIP
