Auntie Bridie was such a warm and caring person and so much fun to be with. She hung onto her resilient spirit to the end and visiting her regularly as her health deteriorated was a far better instruction in how to live well than any self-help book you'll ever find on a bookshelf. May she enjoy endless peace and rest. Will miss her greatly. So disappointed to find myself on the Camino when she passed but a candle burns for her in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Deepest condolences to her wonderful daughters, Ger, Carol and Maeve.
— Catherine & Michael Concannon

I commenced work in New Ireland in 1973 and the first person I met when I started in Mortgage Dept was Bridie..she was such a kind and loving person and she took me under her wing and I knew I was safe and on the right track...
Well I worked with Bridie for approx two years and then we both got promoted to different areas but still under the same umbrella...she was such an inspiration and so easy to work with and so joyful..never a dull moment in her company until she retired in 1991
Was always lovely to see her at the Xmas pensioners luncheons and she never aged..still the glamerous and joyful Bridie and that's the way I will always remember her ...
She always spoke so highly of her daughters..they were her pride and joy...a real family lady...RIP my friend Bridie xxx
