As a Volunteer for Make-A-Wish, Brita helped change the lives of so many children and brought joy and happiness to their young lives. She had a natural way with Children and was kind, loving and caring. She has made a huge impression on our little group here in the Cork and to the Organisation as a whole. She will forever be in our thoughts and in our hearts. We send our love to Martin, her Mum, Brother and wide circle of family and friends.

Brita was kind, witty, smart, fun and someone I always enjoyed being around. She was someone I felt comfortable chatting with about my ups and downs in my life whenever we saw each other. She offered compassion but also humour when it was needed most. I valued her on many levels--professionally, academically and as a person. My heart broke when I heard the news of her death. It's a tragic loss. She will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to her family and to Martin. Keeping you all close in my thoughts and prayers.

I was Brita's tutor, while she was a BSS student. Brita made impact on me in positive ways. Her 'stand out name' to begin with, her characterful look, a drummer girl, an adventurer. Also, she was from the beautiful coastal Baldoyle.
I am shocked to hear of her passing. I think of her mother, brother and partner and her wider family and the many that she held dear and the vast many that held Brita dear. Brita's passing is an inestimable loss. Brita will rest in peace and for those left behind, no easy consolation, meanwhile go gently and take care.
