Please accept our deepest sympathy on the recent death of your wonderful Mum and sister.
Like thousands of others,we have been ardent fans of her glorious voice since she burst on the music scene.
We have had the joy and privilege of hearing her sing in many venues.
When on one occasion we were unable to see her in the City Hall, we travelled to UCL Concert Hall.
On the night, it was the renowned Paulo Gavenelli who was the star but as the evening wore on, it became apparent who the REAL star was. Cara at her inimitable best, wowed tha audience
and stole the show with her stunning voice and fabulous personality.
We have so many wonderful memories of various performances but those of her superb renditions of "O Holy Night" in St.Francis' Church at Christmas Mass over many years, will remain with us forever.
Thank you Cara for all the joy you gave and may you now Rest in Peace and sing in glorious voice with the Heavenly Choir of Angels.
— J and P Kavanagh
Sincere condolences Jimmy on the passing of your wonderful and talented sister. May she rest in peace.

I was so upset when I heard the news. Having lived with the family many years ago I was there when Cara won Musician of the Future. I listened to her practicing night and a lifelong appreciation and love of opera grew during this time. I followed and celebrated the different milestones in Cara’s career and know that this event is a true loss for the Irish music community. Sincere condolences to all the family and, in particular, Christine whom I babysat on occasions.
— Niamh Stack nee Irwin
My dearest sympathy to the family of Cara. I'm so sorry to hear of the death of this fabulous singer, person and personality. I will fondly remember working with Cara a few times, always happy to answer questions, to laugh and to make you smile. Nothing was too big or small for her. She will be dearly missed by many and very much by me.

Thank you Cara for everything.
May she rest in Peace.

Cómhbhrón óm' chroí le Christine, Aoife, Nuala agus Jim, may the good Lord comfort and console them in their great loss.
I first met Cara at Corporate Nights organized by Blackrock Hurling Club early on in her career and even then the the "star" quality was evident. Years later I compered a Concert she did in Siamsa Tíre in Tralee, and I was lucky to be able to watch her, from the side of the stage, give a flawless performance which she did night after night during her long career. Famous she was indeed, but fame never changed her.
Some years ago in London I heard this very typical Cork accent "Pocar would you like today's Examiner I got it on 'de plane coming over" That was the last time I met Cara.

My elderly parents travelled from Thurles to see Cara perform in the Everyman some years ago. Afterwards, Cara was in the foyer greeting people as they left. I introduced my parents and she took the time to chat to them and thank them for coming to the performance. It made their night. They, and I, send our deepest sympathies to Cara's loved ones.
