As a representative of Our lady of Consolation National School Parents Association, I would like to acknowledge that Carmel served on the staff of Our Lady of Consolation school for over 38 years. Carmel retired in June 2014, and we sincerely wish that she had the opportunity to enjoy a longer healthy retirement with her family.

As a past pupil of Carmel’s myself in 1990-92, I would like to pass on my condolences in the way she would admire - in her favourite language - Irish! I apologise if it’s incorrect Ms Lambe!

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

I would like to take this opportunity to pass our condolences onto her loving husband Oscar, and children Oisín, Fiachra and Odharnait and extended family.

Ms Lambe - You left an indelible memory on the community of Donnycarney and beyond. May you rest in peace.
