At the time of your Mums death I got in touch with Clare Ann to check if it was your Mums death that was recorded..she advised me it was… I told her that most people I worked with and had not seen for over 20 years I had forgotten their names but I hadn’t forgotten your Mum. I had just started out as Traveller Health Unit Coordinator in late 1995 so it was probably 1996 I met your Mum when she worked in Traveller Preschool n Galway City… she had a lovely caring manner about her.. maybe as she was originally from Mayo/ Sligo border I could identify with her as I am from Mayo. Her husband Gerry died during the time I knew her.. I know she was devastated. I wish to offer you all my sincere condolences and to thank her for being so supportive to me. I am not long retired.

My heart felt sympathies to Mona and the extended Dempsey family on the sad passing of Catherine. It was a privilege to have met and chatted with Catherine on a number of occasions.
She was truly a kind soul with a massive heart, always thinking of others. Losing a mother is a difficult time for any family and I will send you my best wishes and prayers for some comfort in the year ahead. May her kind soul rest in peace.
