So very sad I am not there today Kitty and was not able to visit you in covid times. A central part of our childhood and the best surrogate grandmother to us. We all love you dearly. So many happy memories but the best ones are of your warm embrace, non judgmental ear, a slice of soda bread and runny jam. You remain in my heart always. Rest peacefully, Kitty. Xx
— Kelly Maher
Dearest Kitty, my fondest happiest memories are being with you in the shop and little house that was full of love, sweets and apple tarts. I will always remember sleeping in your bed beside you as a child, my cold feet in your warm, safe hands as we whispered to each other late into the night. A special bond that I carry with me through my life. You taught me that the glass was always half full, door should always be open, work hard and keep smiling. Your legacy lives on. Love always xxx
— Jackie

To me it was my sweet shop and wafer ice cream base which were most generous in size when cut by Kitty.. A lovely lady... Thank you Kitty for being part of the village fabric and part of my childhood
