Have fond memories of him dropping his blazer and school bag to join me playing soccer against a lamppost on Lissadel ..and so bizarre that Carol Anne died almost the same day.. Jennifer and Louise and all of Charlies wonderful children. I have watched the service for Charlie and felt the pain of your loss, Charlie was a huge part of our family as a kid. we all loved him so much. I havent seen him for years but could always see him in my minds eye. The huge smile and sense of mischief. He was taken too soon but take comfort that he lived a good life full of love and that he was loved beyond measure. May he rest in peace.

Sincere Condolences to all of Charlie's family. First came across Charlie, in the Summer of '82 - El Refugio's Bar, San Antonio, Ibiza and later that winter and many winters thereafter, The St Lawrence Hotel, Howth. Finally Lanzarote.
Wherever Charlie went, the crowds followed. He had a great stage presence, but more importantly, he was a warm, gentle guy, always a smile, always a chat.

I was so sad to hear of charlie's sudden passing...i have lovely memories of charlie when we worked in jwt and went to emmet road night school..when our first child laura was born in 1979 charlie bought her a lovely cuddly toy which we still have 43years later..charlie was a great person ..always friendly and great to be around..he had a lovely family his mum and two sisters were like himself ..the best..my deepest sympathy to his partners his children and sisters and many friends..rip my friend
