I was so sorry to hear of Christine's untimely death. I worked with Christine in RTÉ for many years across so many programmes. Her beautiful Scottish accent was a voice you heard on talk back and knew you were in safe hands. That lovely chuckle when we went to the canteen for egg and chips on a Friday when she'd be working in Sport will be sorely missed. She was so proud to tell us about Robert and her grandson Ollie. RIP Christine, Nicki

Rob, I'm so so sorry to hear this news. Christine will be missed dearly by everyone. Thinking of you, Stacey and Ollie at this time.
— Lewis Bel Maguire
Our thoughts are with Rob, Stacey and Ollie along with Ian and Morag. So very sad. We knew Christine over twenty years from the early days when we came to Kilkenny and shared so much history together particularly around our children. Her passing will leave such a gap. She was such fun and a great story teller and loved nothing more than a robust conversation about politics both in Ireland and the UK. So many times we had great laughs about life. She was also generous with her time and loved to encourage young people to reach their potential. Above everything she was so proud of Rob and her greatest recent delight was to spend time with her gorgeous grandson Ollie. He really lit up her world. She will be missed by so many of us. A great friend. May she rest in peace.
— Clair and Douglas Bel Maguire

I was very sorry to hear the sad passing of Christine. We worked together on many TG4 OB’s over the last 10 years. From day one she was always friendly, helpful and happy to share her vast experience. I was always happy to see her name on a crew list as it meant you were in a safe pair of hands. She will be greatly missed but you can guarantee where ever she is, she has a big smile on her face and is chatting to those around her.

My deepest condolences to Robert and all of her family, she will be greatly missed.

Sad, shocked and saddened to hear of Christine's sudden death. I worked with Christine over many years in RTE. She was so obliging, ask her to do a job of work and it was completed with the utmost speed and accuracy, Christine didn't believe in hanging around! Her infectious laugh, all round good humour and chat enlivened many a dull day in RTE. Sympathy to Robert, her extended family and friends.
— Patricia Swan
Our love to Robert, Stacy and Ollie, losing a mum and a granny is heartbreaking. Christine was a big sister to me and Morag and a super auntie to Catriona & Iain, and Andrew, as well as all the children of the next generation. Never missed a birthday and always there with help. In fact, when I was 7 and coming back from school, I got involved in an altercation with 3 other boys and was coming off worst. Christine was passing, a few swift swings of her schoolbag and the 3 boys were in the wind. Having rescued me and checked I was alright, we headed home, where she promptly reported me to mum for fighting! We all loved her and will all miss her very much.
— Iain and Morag
Christine , you were always very kind to me in school
