So sorry to hear this sad news, sincere condolences to Mary, Alan and family. Christy was the first technician in the then, new Waterford Telephone Exchange in Exchange Street and oversaw the changeover from manual to fully automatic, in October 1952.
I always enjoyed our chats; Christy had an ongoing interest in radio and technology and was one of the first in Ireland to get an amateur radio transmitting license.
