Christopher Hayes

I was so shocked to hear this tragic news. I have spoken to Christy so often over the years, though never knew his surname. He was a genuinely expert fisherman for the mullet of Rostellan, and only a couple of weeks ago was showing me photos of a nine pounder and a staggering eleven two he caught beside the Rostellan flower pot last year. I always looked out for his white van which assured me of the presence of good company during my lakeside session. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. Geoffrey Eastaway, Midleton.
