I am so sorry for you his family and friends, all those that really knew Cian. I only got to know him very briefly, this year, but in that short time I could recognise his amazing energy and enthusiasm for life. I am so sorry that his time with us was so short. I only had the opportunity to meet Cian once in person, but even that made such an impression. He started singing ‘Romeo and Juliet’ by dire straits at 10:30 at night in the middle of grand parade, cork and I think that really highlighted what a bright and joyful person he was.

He will be greatly missed by us all and all in UCC are sending their love to your family at this time.

I went to school with cian and no one could say a single bad thing about him ..he was an absolute gent with a heart of gold and will be dearly missed by everyone…ye should be very proud raising such a great person ..deepest condolences to all family and friends of cian.

Cian was such a kind, wonderful and genuine person. I am privileged to have had him in my English class in school , to have seen his fine debating work for Concern and to have had lovely conversations with him afterwards. I appreciated so much how he treated everyone as individuals and did not judge or run with the crowd. He listened and reflected. I'm so sad to hear of his passing and my heart is breaking for his family, friends and communities.

Dont know you or your son or brother, but I seen the death notice and clicked on it. My heart goes out to you at this terrible time, mid August 2021 and for to lose a child and son must be life changing.May he Rest In Peace. Cian was the year above me in school, and while I didn’t have many interactions with him, he always struck me as a gentle, intelligent and friendly person. I remember when he first came to school in Sancta Maria how remarkably quickly he settled in and made many friends, a testament to his character. May his soul rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences. Cian was a classmate of mine in International Development at UCC. He was the first person I met in the course and was so sincerely friendly and interested, and was a kind friend. I will really miss him and Int Dev won't be the same without him.
