I was so sorry to hear of Ciara's death. We shared many happy memories in the SPARC office in TCD and I remember sunny walks with her in Terenure. My deepest condolences.
— Emer Begley
Eoin, Áine, Naoise, Cúán, Tony, Deidre. Beidh Ciara i gcónaí ina máthair álainn cineálta. Bhí a áintín Myra iontach brodúil léi. Mhothaigh mé go bhí aithne agam ar Ciara ar bliainte nuair a bhuail muid le cheile ag sochraid m'uncail cuig bliain ó chin. Ba Ciara bean í a rinne difríocht i saol an oiread sin daoine. Chosain Ciara a paistí an oiread agus ab fhéidir léi ó an brónach a báis féin. Caillteanas chomh mór sin dúinn go léir, agus daoibhse go háirithe. Tá Ciara in ár gcroíthe go deo. Tabhair aire

To Eoin and family

I had the pleasure of working with Ciara for 4 years in Trinity. She was such a wonderful person and colleague; so clever and dedicated to her work but also really bubbly and fun to be around. Her kind and caring nature shone through and she was always ready to help in any way possible. I know she was also a beautiful singer as I was lucky enough to attend a concert that her singing group gave in St Ann’s Church in Dawson Street and they were fantastic. She had such a truly beautiful spirit and I’m sure she will watch over you all. I’m deeply sorry to learn of her passing and send my sincere condolences to you all. May she rest in eternal peace and joy

Dear Eoin,

I am just so sorry this has happened. I knew Ciara from BCT. She was brilliant, organising the group, making it so much better, hosting lots of us in your house. I can't believe this has happened. Ciara always seemed to be at the centre of things, kind, wise cracking and funny.

We live close to you with sons the same age (4 and 2), who my husband's mainly looking after at weekends, while I take on the new baby. If you'd fancy hanging out in a playground with him or a playdate, then Maddie's got our details and the boys would love a couple of new mates.

I had the great privilege of meeting Ciara in Muckross Park. We were both in higher Maths & French & Social & Scientific class. It was always lovely to meet her. She was really looking forward to Trinity. UCD was calling moi( since I was a child) due to family tradition.
I remember she always spoke so fondly of her parents.R.I. P. Bernie. It was such a joy to meet Ciara with Eoin & Aine Christmas 2014 when they went to see DLR Lexicon(Library & Cultural Centre). Dublin's lost!!!. A lovely family & Aine was a model child. I was deeply saddened to hear Ciara was ill.
Ciara was very happy with all her adventures & this was evident from all the beautiful photos throughout the years which you kindly showed at the funeral. You will always have a place in our hearts. May she rest in peace. Thinking of all her family and friends during this time. May Ciara rest in peace.

Brussels was so grey the last few days and weeks before Ciara passed away. We thought about that, an inevitable sadness approaching, even nature stopped to hold it’s breath and weep. The day after Ciara took her last breath, Brussels woke up covered in snow. We had a winter week like never experienced before during 15 years in Belgium. Crispy cold, sunny, unique. Today, after Ciara’s beautiful ceremony, a mild touch of warmer air. A smell of spring. The sky so blue, the sun so strong. Like a display of magic for an amazing woman. We can nothing but believe that Ciara has reached another, wonderful place now, after a far too short but fully lived life filled with so much love and joy. Our hearts go out to Ciara’s family, we are so deeply sorry for your loss. Ciara will live on in your hearts and memories and she will always be there with you. Rest in peace, Ciara.
