Sincere condolences to your family, the Glenstal Benedictine Community, your relatives and friends, Ciaran. With great gratitude for your sense of humour and awareness of others suffering. You moved me by your thoughtfulness; how you would 'happen to pass by', so that you could drive my late husband, Bruno RIP. to Mass in your 'golf-cart, because he was weak from his dialysis treatments! I always smiled, as I wantched the two of you heading off accross the fields, chatting and laughing together. Bruno often spoke of your kindness over the years and this is how I'll always remember you. ❤
Thank you, Ciaran and May you Rest In Peace 🙏 🙏
Brenda.

Owen Forbes lived across the road from me in the early 60s. I was a small boy and he was already getting ready for Glenstal. He took me and my brother Terry on our first trip on a double decker bus from Ballsbridge to St Stephens Green and then our first movie in the Grafton St cinema....The 3 Stoogies from memory. I then had the privilege of meeting him some 8 years later as a pupil of Glenstal Abbey. A wonderful guy and a true gentleman. A very sad moment.
