Very sorry to hear of the untimely passing of Ciaran, who I remember in secondary school as having a very kind and gentle soul.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Ciaran was a close friend, I truly enjoyed our walks through Ashbourne, both as teenagers and as grown adults, talking about philosophy, mythology, theology... For hours we would go up and down Ashbourne until one of us realised it was pitch black and had some sense to go home.
Distance made these walks fewer in time, but still always as enjoyable as the first.
I will miss our walks and our catch ups Ciaran.

Ciarán brought so much creativity and joy, not just in our D&D games but in his interactions with his family and friends. We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to know you. Ciarán you will be hard to forget and dearly missed, Rest in Peace.

Ciarán and Family were a second family to me for many years.
I first met Ciarán in speech and Drama classes when we were both in primary school it was a few years later we became friends after starting secondary school together. It may sound strange to some but Ciarán was someone who I enjoyed arguing with, because neither of us ever took our disagreements personally and could be viciously debating any number of topics before calmly sitting down to eat a lemon cheese cake we got from Tesco's at 4 in the morning before crashing on the floor of his bedroom if we didn't decide to stay awake a full 24 hours painting.
I won't be able to pick up a paintbrush again without thinking of Ciarán.

I must have been 4 years old when I first met Ciaran. I went all the way through school with him. He drew me some cool fantasy pictures for my scrapbook. When we were 16 a small gang of us took a notion to go to Paris together. Ciarán was the only one of us who had the savvy not to get hoodwinked and mugged on that trip. We had in jokes for years after that trip. Whenever I met him I’d be delighted to catch up with him and commiserate with him over our common struggle; both of us in our respective arts. He was talented, intelligent and pithy. We always had a laugh if we ran into each other, I was always glad to see him. This news is deeply saddening. My deepest condolences to all of his family at this devastating time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

It was with shock that I heard the news today about Ciaran's sudden death. Having worked with him on many jobs around the Community Centre I have found him an interesting character and always eager to help. He will be greatly missed.
