A short note to mark the sudden passing of a great man; my dear friend and former business partner Ciaran Morris on July 28th 2023...
I met Ciaran first in 2007 when we were expanding our operations at Continuum, he of course aced the interview, but little did I know the effect he would have on the workplace or me personally. His impact on Continuum was the equivalent of fitting a Fiat 500 with the engine of a Ferrari! His work approach was second to none, his work ethics were a lesson to us all, me in particular. He was spectacular to work with, and hugely respected and liked by all around him. I remember when expanding the team, I simply wanted to clone him...
I was so impressed with Ciaran, I went into my next venture Trilabyrinth with him as my partner and we delivered some incredible work for the likes of Disney and Marvel all under his watchful eye. Ciaran was very humble, and never bragged about his work portfolio including "Titan AE", "An American Tail", "All Dogs go to Heaven" to name a few.
At the time of his passing, it had only been a fortnight since he and I spent a Sunday together over a day-long lunch, planning, scheming, solving and discussing life in general. Memories of how his face changed with delight when he described his 12 year old daughters' prowess in sports, school and life in general will remain with me for life.
A true gent, a dear friend, a loving family man and a thorough professional. My heart and support goes to his wife Fiona, his daughters Clara and Olivia, and to his wonderful parents and family.
Rest in peace my dear friend, what a wonder you were...
— Colin Meagle

Dear Fiona, Clara and Olivia.

Like everyone whose life Ciarán touched, I was devastated to hear of his sudden passing. Thank you for allowing us to participate in his service from afar. It was beautiful and a testament to how great a husband, father, son, brother and friend he was throughout his life. Fiona, as you stepped through your history and special moments together, you allowed us to relive shared memories with a smile.

Clara and Olivia, you are beautiful young ladies and your messages to your father and family were amazing. You are both brave and strong, and it's clear you make your mum and dad so proud.

Fiona, you also brought me back to such fond and fun memories of our years at Fox. Those times with you and Ciarán and the whole gang are definitely highlights in my life. So much laughter and silly hijinks!

Fiona, Clara and Olivia, I am so very sorry that your physical time with Ciarán was cut short, but you will carry his laughter, love and presence with you the rest of your lives. He was and is a very special person.

Hugs and love to you,
Debbie.

Ciaran was so good to me when I was first in Dublin. The banter we had on the way into work in his blue Opel Manta. I was always in line for a good humoured slagging.

I respected him so much. He was the grown up in the room, full of good advice.
I treasured his friendship and all the great laughs we had together.

My heart breaks for you Fiona and family.

May he rest in peace.

In these moments, the shock of the news passed, but it was replaced by a permanent, deep and sincere sadness. We collaborated very closely and very well with Ciaran and thanked him many times for the professionalism and understanding he showed all the time. We would have liked to walk the path of life in parallel, many years from now, but now all we have left is to honor his memory, to thank him once again for everything he represented in our collaboration, to bow deeply in front of his catafalque and let's all say it in chorus... ,, Thank you Ciaran for everything! Have a good trip wherever you are and know that the small team from FCR Media Romania will remember you with deep respect and remembrance.

I throughly enjoyed working with him and the slagging he gave me, always in good fun!! He was the only one brave enough to say Good Morning to me before 10am and he would wait with his big grin until he got a Good Morning back.

So saddened, and in shock, to hear of Ciarán’s untimely passing; sending heartfelt sympathies and love to Fiona and their darling girls plus extended family.

Maria and I have very treasured memories of Ciarán and Fiona’s friendship and the wonderful times we had, in the Bluth days, including weekends away in Clare and Donegal dodging the law at late night border crossing and then again at even later pub lock-in, climbing Slieve League in heels (Fiona) and drinking Guinness with blackcurrant (also Fiona).

Great guy, fabulous couple and wonderful family.

RIP Ciarán 🙏
