We were so sorry and shocked to hear the sad news of Claire's passing. We first met Claire at a racing event in Leopardstown. Her warm, fun & engaging personality meant we laughed all day & parted as old friends.

We were very lucky to become friends with Claire, Michael & her family, meeting regularly at similar events; we looked forward to the chats, mischief and spontaneous fun that was always guaranteed with Claire!

I was so very sorry to hear the sad news. I worked with Claire in AIB (Kilburn and Holloway Road) many years ago - she was always so full of life and fun. Indeed I still have a picture of her 40th birthday cake - what a night that was! It was awful when I heard that she'd become ill, but thought she'd beaten it, not that it had come back again. May she rest in peace - thoughts are with her family and all who knew her.

I will miss my mom’s cousin Claire for her warmth, energy, and love. Since meeting her at my uncle’s wedding, to her taking my friends and I out to Temple Bar my first time in Dublin, to visiting her in Waterford, her lively presence brought smiles to all. May she rest in peace with Mamo and all the Phelan clan.

My sincerest condolences to Claire's family, she's a terrible loss for all of you and anyone who ever met her. I met Claire at the Irish Cancer Fashion show in Drogheda 5 years ago. We became friends and went on to do two strip & dips together and yet another fashion show the following year. Claire was funny, kind, good, and loved her family tremendously. She was given a wonderful send off yesterday by her family and friends, and having met her family I can see why she loved them so much. May she rest in peace.

Oh my dearest pal, I am heartbroken that I will never get to see you and laugh together again. From the moment I joined AIB Kilburn aged 26 we were inseparable ‘Double Trouble’. We had many adventures Claire, weekends in Amsterdam, Glasgow, racing in Pubchestown, Tramore to name but a few of great times together.
You were a true friend Ckaire, even when you moved back to Ireland we always stayed in touch and I am so sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye but you will forever be in my heart. Rest well Phelo, so sorry I couldn’t make it to the funeral. Condolences to Michael and all the family and all your wonderful friends that you meant so much too. God bless 💔
