very sad to hear of Anthony's death. I have great memories of his wonderful athletic career, which with greater encouragement and coaching would undoubtedly have led to him being an Olympian. He was an inspiration to a generation of Dundalk athletes. May he reat in peace.

So sad to learn of Tony's passing. He was an outstanding athlete winning Colleges, All Ireland and European Championships. I have known Tony since our early days in Dealgan Athletic Club and later in Edmondstown Golf Club where we enjoyed many rounds together. He was a gentleman and great company.

For a man of such sporting talent and bravery as evidenced by the citation when he was awarded his DSM he was exceptionally modest, and his family can take some solace from the regard in which he was rightly held.
