Then last year Magdalen and I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Colum and Patsy in our Bridge club in Booterstown. He kindly gave me a copy of his book ‘Full of Energy’. Remembering Uncle Colum.. both long ago when we were warned Colum was coming to check our rooms! Only for Colum to sit down and enjoy the company of our Mum Pauline whose company he enjoyed immensely and whose company we were all in awe of.. more recently I enjoyed many hours in Milltown GC where he immersed himself in the upgrading of the club facilities and enjoyment of a new string to his many bows! Thanks Colum for many memories and for the long look into our past heritage!
