She was such a positive force for good and for change in the nursing home sector and gave generously of her time to advocate for residents, staff and families. It was with huge sadness and shock that I learned of the untimely passing of dear Cora. Cora was part of the Theatre Guild when I joined it in 1975 and I have some wonderful memories of that time. She became a very good friend to our family over the years and her kindness, care, and genuine interest in our successes and well-being was always so appreciated by all of us. Cora’s legacy to the town and community of Tuam can only be matched by a small group of people over many decades. She will be greatly missed by all and my sincerest sympathies to Ian, Yvonne, Jane and Brían and the McNamara and Monaghan families. May Cora’s gentle soul rest in peace.
