On behalf of the RCM Pension Trustees I want to pay tribute to Corina and send our very best wishes to her family and friends. I worked with Corina for many years. As a trustee she was diligent, bold and knowledgeable. And she had some great stories. It is just so sad that she worked so hard as a midwife, an RCM member and pension trustee but was unable to enjoy her retirement. You will be missed Corina.
— Denise Linay
Sending deepest sympathy and condolences to Ronnie, Michael and Rachael on the loss of their lovely wife and mum. Corina was an absolute force of nature and she has touched so many peoples lives and created ripples that will be far reaching throughout midwifery. My first memory of Corina was as my sisters community midwife and she certainly wasn’t scared about telling the GP about what they should be doing right. She quickly became a friend to my parents and was such a strong and kind lady who had the most amazing energy. Through chance I later became friends with her son Michael who had the same strength, kindness and no nonsense attitude that his mum had. She has left behind her the most amazing of legacies and a beautiful family who she adored. I am heartbroken for you all but know that she lives on in all of you. Sending you all so much love at this difficult time x
— Siobhan Brereton
Dearest Corina RIP
I send my heart felt condolences to Ronnie Micheal and Rachael . She adored you all so much and spoke of you constantly. Corina's joy at becoming a grandmother to Arabella was lovely to be part of I met Corina in 2002 when we started working in Halton as colleagues . We soon became friends a friendship that lasted the next 20 years. I was utterly shocked by Corina's passing a light has gone out in our world but shines bright in heaven . Corina was passionate about her family with midwifery a really close second . She was political feeling strongly about the rights of her fellow humans and would speak out against injustice . She was funny and a great communicator she was totally brilliant! Corina was like an open book she wore her heart on her sleeve . Her office was the window to her soul . Pictures littered the walls of her beloved family, beloved Everton and her pride shone bright when she visited Downing Street and met the Prime Minister - Tony Blair.
Corina certainly lived life to the full and she will be sadly missed .

My thoughts and prayers are with Corina’s family. I’m so sorry for your loss.

I met Corina in 2021 when I joined the wonderful Halton midwifery team.
As a fellow Irish woman, I felt very at ease in Corina’s company and we felt able to chat away without having to slow down so we could be understood 😂

I was and still am so shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. It’s utterly heartbreaking. She was such a strong woman who spoke her mind and appeared invincible. Truly shocking news.

To Corina’s family and loved ones, you are in my thoughts. She spoke so so often of you all. Every single time I was in her company, she never failed to mention at least one family member in her conversations.
Sending love to you all at this sad time.
Rest in peace CCH ❤️
