I remember going into the Colbert's and Mr Colbert would be working on something or other in his Garage, everyone would hang around in the Colbert's, there was a great feeling of community spirit.
I remember on Halloween night Mr Colbert and other folks would bring us all down to Dollymount Beach for a barbeque, I loved that, it is a great memory.
During the Summer Mr Gallagher would bring us all down the sea front on a Friday evening to play football, then Mr Colbert started the Foxfield League in the field in Foxfield,. Andrew would always be late and turn up eating his Ma's toast so we nicknamed him Crusty. Mr Colbert was devoted to all the kids in his neighbourhood and left us great memories of growing up in Foxfield - Well done Mr Colbert, brilliant.

To the Colbert family.
I am saddened to learn of the passing of Con Although I have lost contact with the Colbert family since the early 60s, I have fond memories of Con from his involvement in Kill GAA
His mother and father Jim and Eileen were regular visitors to my parents John and Tilly McCoy at Greenhills , Kill.
From reading the other messages of condolences, it would appear that Con continued the tradition of service to the State as established by the earlier Colbert generations.
May he rest in peace.
