Danny was one of life's true gentlemen. He was generous, kind and engaging company - a man who was proud of place and people. He was a wonderful family man who adored his two ladies, Ljiana and Olivia. Danny was a great support to me when I taught my classes in the Sports Centre and was always good for a chat about all things sporting. His loss will be keenly felt by many and his legacy will endure in Dungarvan, Munster and beyond. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Though I didn't Know Dan personally, we met through Facebook. I found him to be someone you felt like you knew forever. His contribution to the McGrath Clan and our heritage enlightened and embraced the World of McGrath's. I enjoyed his photography, seeing his view of Ireland was beautiful especially the photos of his family. May God be holding him in his arms and his family find peace in knowing. Sorely to be missed.
