I’m so sorry and sad to hear about the passing of Donie.
I met Donie in 2012 at the ASIS International European Conference in London, U.K., where he kindly offered to (again) support ASIS in Europe. We have met on many occasions ever since (unfortunately only virtual the past 6 months) and I was always impressed by his knowledge and drive, and very much appreciated his kindness and enthusiasm.
He was an active member and volunteer leader, and a kind man with a great sense of humour, it was always a pleasure to meet him. He will be missed by all his colleagues and friends from ASIS International globally and the wider security profession.
We wish Donie’s family and friends much strength and hope that the many tokens of appreciation for who he was will ease the pain of their loss.
— Godfried Hendriks
