I knew Dave well in the 90s - we were both friends of Jack McLaughlin who sadly was also taken from us far too soon. We lost contact and then he popped up on Moyne Road and it was great to have a few words every now and then. Talked just a couple of weeks ago and had no idea this day was coming. Wise, intelligent, kind and altogether impressive - I am so sorry for his family and many friends.

Dave you looked at peace today in Dundrum. Save a place at that RíRá alumni table (upstairs) for me - with Murt & Bennan & you holding the fort.

Dave was a treasure - smart, witty, kind, insightful. We did not know him for long, but I think that he was born a champion of good, truth, right and the underdog. A pleasure to work with, have a conversation with, or a Guinness or all of the above. His love of his family shone brightly. Brad and I are very sad. Our sincerest condolences to Vickey, Goya, Dali, and all of Dave's family.

It's been an age since I've seen Dave but I can picture him as if it were yesterday. He was a good, decent guy. So, so sad to hear of his passing. Too young. Heartfelt regrets, and much strength and courage to his family.

Dave was an inspiration to everyone he met but particularly me as he had such great way of helping people in everything he did. His honesty, kindness and love for what he did was truly infectious. He remembered the little things, treated everyone the same and shared incredible stories about his life, warts and all. I will cherish the incredible memories I have of Dave.
