Dear Monica, Paul, Tom – Dave introduced us pseudo-American college students in Boston to the real Irish culture in all its depth and beauty in the Gaelic words he spoke and the prose he told. He had an extremely caring heart, sensitive nature, a wit and ease with a laugh that will never ever be forgotten. Words fail to express the deep sadness of this great tragedy. He will always be with you in the memories you have and the stories you will tell. Dear Carmel and John, my deepest condolences for your loss, my heart and strength of spirit goes out to you in your time of grief.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with "Dave" in Dubai. Many a long conversation was had over a double espresso or something a little stronger. Many a trip to the local tech shop or local souk was had. Dave was always great company. We even saw him dance at our wedding. Dave is an enormous loss to anybody that knew him. It was with shock and sadness that Triona and I learned of this news. We have many happy memories of Dave in our apartment leading the conversation followed by his usual hearty laugh.
