I am sorry it has taken me a few days to leave my condolences. I have been thinking of David ever since he passed, it was so sudden, I just didn't know what to say.

I have been reading the messages left for David by family and friends, it's clear that David touched so many lives, to see such an outpouring is a testament to his character and his upbringing.

I have such fond memories of us spending time together as children, going to Ireland and getting to see my family was the highlight of each year. I only wish we could have had more time together.

To pass so young and unexpectedly is incredibly unfair, all my thoughts and love are with you Antony, Ann, Stephen and Sean.

David was an incredibly talented, gregarious and decent individual, as a result he will never be forgotten and will live on in the hearts of the people he has touched.

We’re so incredibly heartbroken for you, the whole family and all of David’s friends. It’s such a loss. All of our thoughts and love are with you now and always x

So, so sorry to hear this news. I was in Newpark with David and remember him so well as an endlessly friendly, funny guy and a talented musician. We were seated together in a Maths class for a few weeks in the early years and I remember us always having great chats. Thinking of family and friends at this time.

Alongside your grief you must feel immensely proud to have David as your son and brother. Listening to the speeches and memories there’s no doubt what a truly amazing person he was. Common words describing him as loyal, kind and fun…..what more could you aspire to in life!

So so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Dave was one of the first friendships I made in Newpark and I'll always hold that dear - I have such sweet memories of him, especially surrounding wholehearted teenage discussions about rock music and solos in the Les Mis musical.
